How to Activate The Blessing
Charles Finney, the American lawyer‑turned‑preacher who was known for his strong preaching on holiness. Also discovered that revival followed generous congregations. He wrote:
As I have gone from place to place working for revival, I have always found that churches are blessed in proportion to their liberality. Where they support the gospel and give generously to God's treasury, they have been blessed both spiritually and materially. But where they are stingy and allow the pastor to preach for little or nothing, the church is cursed instead of blessed. I have also found it generally true that young converts are most inclined to join churches making liberal efforts to support the gospel. (Charles G. Throughout Bible history, a revival of joy comes when great offerings are given.
The people rejoiced over the offerings, for they had given freely and wholeheartedly to the LORD, and King David was filled with joy. (I Chronicles 29:9 NLT)
Joy and generosity always go together. In fact, the word miser is at the root of the word miserable. People clutching on to their possessions will never discover the joy of a free, giving spirit.
The most important key to gaining and maintaining financial success in your life is that you give generously!
